A new partnership between Muna Bicycles and WeeBike Shopenhances the portfolio of both companies. Muna’s selection of premium balance bikes for children aged 2-4 has been refreshed for 2018 with new designs to suit any taste and budget. Since 2007 WeeBike Shop has been the tip of the spear when it comes to bringing the best balance bike brands to the United States.

Muna is a division of the MOMSEN Bikes group in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Momsen produces a range of premium off-road bicycles including full suspension mountain bikes, gravel bikes and hardtail XC bikes. The South African bike brand was previously imported to the US by others but a more specialized importer was needed to provide MUNA inventory and service to the exploding balance bike market in the US. WeeBike Shop was engaged and a meeting of the minds between Victor Momsen and Ivan M Altinbasak was quickly achieved.

The MUNA Balance Bikes are being offered at two price points: The “Zing” and the “RGB” are steel framed models with an MSRP of $120. The lighter “Pro-Alloy” and “Glo Alloy" models will appeal to less cost sensitive shoppers who prefer non-ferrous aluminum, internally routed brake cables and lighter weight. Both bikes use inflated rubber all-terrain tires, hand controlled rear brakes, and twin bearing headsets to successfully endure rough riding on unpaved surfaces. Seat heights of both bikes start at a toddler-friendly 12-1/2" and extend to fit kids up to age 4.

The bikes are stocked in the San Diego warehouse of WeeBike Shop and ship nationwide through specialty online retailers and local bike shops. WeeBike Shop will maintain a full inventory of spare replacement parts, manage all warranty claims, and provide customer service to all Muna Bike dealers and end users.
